Building an AI-native “Calendly”

Today, we’re excited to announce Adaptive Scheduling. Think of it like the AI-first answer to Calendly.
This update introduces an assistant that learns your priorities to manage your time. Instead of a generic list of open slots, Multiplayer provides Preferred Times for when you are usually at your most productive and Available Slots for when you need to be flexible.
Most scheduling tools only check for open spaces on a grid. They don't account for how meetings impact your focus, your context-switching, or your daily rhythm. This update moves beyond "availability-only" booking toward an assistant that understands how you actually work.
Adaptive Scheduling is part of a long list of improvements we’re making to how people work with calendars, schedules, and meetings, using AI.
Your assistant now includes proactive scheduling intelligence that manages the coordination and back-and-forth for you:
Intelligent time optimization: Multiplayer doesn’t just look for a gap in your schedule; it protects your focus blocks and groups meetings together to minimize "calendar tetris”.
Adaptive scheduling logic: Modeled after how the best human EAs work, Multiplayer knows when to follow your rules and when to break them. If a high-priority meeting requires a late-night call to accommodate a difficult timezone, your assistant recognizes the importance and provides optimized options for it.
You stay in control: While your AI assistant manages and optimizes your calendar, you can still tune its approach with granular controls and preferences settings.

Traditional booking links often feel like "admin work" for the person receiving them. Multiplayer takes a proactive approach to protect your day’s focus while making it easier for different parties to book. We’ve spent countless hours studying how top-tier executive assistants screen requests, prioritize what matters, and navigate global timezones without burning out their executives.
We believe that a meeting is just a means to an end. You shouldn't have to spend your mental energy managing a scattered calendar just to move work forward. By integrating scheduling directly into your existing inbox workflow, we are eliminating the fatigue of using multiple "point solution" apps just to book a single call.
In a globally distributed world, "9-to-5" doesn't exist. Multiplayer is built to handle the complexity of remote teams, automatically inferring sender timezones and suggesting times that bridge the gap between continents. It recognizes when a meeting is important enough to warrant an exception, ensuring that work moves forward regardless of the distance.
The addition of Adaptive Scheduling is a major step toward our goal of providing a proactive AI assistant that truly understands the value of your time, not just your availability. We are moving toward a future where your assistant isn't just collaborative, but one that eliminates the administrative weight of your day. We are building toward a future where your assistant handles the logistics of your professional life so you can stay focused on the work that actually matters.
